Sample Selection Guide

Timing is critical: Collect samples during the acute stage of disease, as soon as symptoms are noticed
Patient selection: Choose animals actively showing symptoms who have not yet been treated with antibiotics
Sample quality: Use fresh samples with no signs of decomposition; frozen samples are not recommended
Pooling: Up to 5 samples can be pooled for one PathoSense analysis (unless specified otherwise)
Storage and transport: Process samples with PathoSense kit and store in cool conditions; transport to lab quickly
